On January 19th, 2020, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the "Opinions on Further Strengthening the Treatment of Plastic Pollution." Guided by Xi Jinping's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era, fully implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Party and the Second, Third, and Fourth Plenary Sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, our country adheres to the people as the center, firmly forms a new development concept. We will orderly restrict or prohibit the production, sale and use of some plastic products, actively promotes alternative products and regulates the recycling of plastic waste. Our country is trying to establish and improve a management system for production, circulation, use, recycling and disposal of plastic products, thus effectively and orderly controlling plastic pollution and striving to build a beautiful China.
Main targets：
(1) By the end of 2020, China will take the lead in prohibiting and restricting the production, sales, and use of parts of plastic products in certain regions and areas.
(2) By the end of 2022, the consumption of disposable plastic products has decreased significantly, and alternative products have been promoted.
(3) By the end of 2025, the management system for the production, circulation, consumption, recycling and disposal of plastic products has basically been established.
